Last night the new IG stomped an uneasy alliance between the Nids and BT. Next week we'll be finishing up the first round of the campaign with an 8000 point Apocalypse game. Due to us not knowing who will be coming; Tom and Mike should bring 3000 and 4000 point lists, Kevin and Craig bring 2000 and 3000 point lists, and everyone else bring 2000 point lists. Obviously we can share points a bit too if you need to squeeze something in.

Remember that you may have squads with Veteran skills! Each side will be given 2 strategic assets (in addition to any granted from datasheets). I can't really remember how the portals work... but everyone go back a few posts to the original ruleset and check it out so that we're caught up on what is going on.

If you haven't seen it yet, Games Workshop sent out e-mails with pictures of the Ironclad. You can also see them at Bell of Lost Souls. Honestly, I don't really care for them...

We'll be starting up turn 4 of the Apocalypse game, with things moving along pretty quickly. I think we've really torn into them but we'll have to look to our objectives. We have the bottom half of the turn which should help for moving to capture/contest objectives at the last second. My entire army is almost gone, but I still have Helbrecht tearing into Garin's IG troops, someone is going to have to remind me that he is hiding in the building so I don't forget he's there.

Craig let me know that there's been a change of plans. After I left last night the Mayhem Posse conceded defeat and now we are playing a 1.5k/player Apocalypse game?

First round (2 game turns) of Apocalypse went pretty well. The Hierodule seems to be stomping us pretty hard but I think we're holding our own. The game is also moving along pretty quickly so it will be interesting to see what's left after next week.

So we'll be playing 12k v 12k against the Mayhem crew, and aiming at bringing 2k points each. Please leave a comment with exactly how many points you're bringing so that if you have a few to spare (or want some extra) we can adjust. I'll probably be a little short just to play with as many painted models as I can.
