Monday we'll be playing at Craig's house with a new set of rules. Everyone should bring a list with between 5 and 10 models with at least one unit being from either Troops, Elite or Fast Attack. The points limit is 250 points and only Infantry or Jump Infantry are allowed (no bikes, vehicles, MC's, etc.) HQ are not allowed. Each model will function individually. Only one "Sergeant" is allowed. Each point of toughness will be one hitpoint.

Obviously rules are up for discussion on the site or upon arrival but we'll be trying this out in order to hopefully implement something similar for the continuation of the campaign. I'm not sure if we should say that you need to meet 'minimum' squad composition or not. (As in, can you take 2 Terminators and 8 Marines?)

What would guys like to do with double-strength weapons? I don't think it would be fair to kill outright since almost all models will have 3-5 "hit points" but maybe if it is double strength they take off 2 "hit points"?

I think that double strength weapons should still insta kill, getting hit by an anti-tank weapon is not good for your health no matter how many wounds you have. Are we talking a list of only 5-10 guys are squads of 5-10 guys with a points limit of 250?

When I talked to Craig on the phone, his idea was 10 guys total on your list. We talked about whether that would be feasible with Orks but I think it would if you took Nobz or Meganobz.

As far as double strength instakilling, with only 10 guys but 40 hitpoints (wounds) it would only take 24 powerfist attacks to kill them all (average probability) while it would take 320 regular attacks (assuming defender has armor save of 4+).

If you made the fists only take 2 wounds then it would be 48 powerfist attacks, which at least gets it a little bit closer.
